Mode of Action
- Metarhizium Anisopliae is a fungus that infects insects primarily Bettle larvae.
- Acts by contact action i.e.: Infects insects that come in contact with it and those that come in contact with infected insects
- The spore attaches to and penetrates through the insects cuticle and begins germinating rapidly to the insects haemolymph(The fluid tissue that transports nutrients, hormones and removes waste)
- The fungus proliferates through the insects body, drains the insects nutrients and the infected insect eventually dies.
- Takes 7-14days from infection to the insects death.
- Rate of Use: 60ml / 20L of water (4L/ha in 500L of water)
Bio-Magic Application Guide
- Avoid chemical fungicide spray at least a day before and after using Bio-Magic. Don’t mix product with chemical fungicide.
- Apply early morning or late evening. Avoid using product in high temperatures as this affects fungus growth.
- Spray thoroughly on both sides of the leaf for crop pests and drench for soil-borne pathogens.
- Use high volume spray to achieve maximum coverage
- Alternate with chemical products for better pests control and to avoid resistance development.
- Works best on all insects stages.
- Compatible with neem products and other biopesticides
- Product should be sprayed immediately on mixing. Don’t leave overnight.
- Avoid product use near water bodies to avoid contamination.
