2025 Mater Heart Run

on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, Osho Chemical Industries proudly facilitated a team of its employees to take part in the Mater Heart Run, a nationwide charity event organized by The Mater Hospital. The event was both challenging and rewarding, offering participants a fun and healthy way to spend their weekend while contributing to a truly noble cause. The Mater Heart Run is a flagship fundraising initiative supporting the Mater Cardiac Program, which was launched in 1995 to provide life-saving cardiac treatment to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. At a time when access to quality cardiac care in Kenya was limited, Mater Hospital stepped in to bridge the gap—performing its first open-heart surgery in 1996. Guided by the compassionate values of the Sisters of Mercy, the program has since grown tremendously. Over 3,000 heart procedures have been successfully conducted, most by Kenyan doctors, thanks to the continued support from well-wishers and corporate partners like Osho Chemical Industries. Since its inception in 2002, the Mater Heart Run has expanded from a single-city event in Nairobi to a multi-location effort spanning 10 towns across Kenya, including Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, and Eldoret. In addition, the hospital has rolled out free cardiac screening camps to help communities detect and prevent heart disease early. Osho Chemical Industries is honored to support this initiative, which not only saves lives but also uplifts entire families. We look forward to participating in future runs and continuing our commitment to health, community, and compassion. #OshoCares#TeamOsho#OshoInTheCommunity#OshoRunsForHearts#OshoWellness#CorporateSocialResponsibility#TogetherWeCan#MaterHeartRun#RunForAHeart

Grow More, Worry Less: How KOLOPA 300 OD Supports Safer Maize Farming

Boost Your Maize Yield Safely with KOLOPA 300 OD Weeds can drastically reduce your maize yield if not controlled early and effectively. Enter KOLOPA 300 OD—a powerful, selective post-emergence herbicide that tackles both grassy and broadleaved weeds while keeping your maize crop safe.  What is KOLOPA 300 OD? KOLOPA 300 OD is a systemic sulfonylurea herbicide that inhibits the ALS enzyme—critical for weed growth. Once sprayed, it’s quickly absorbed by the weed’s leaves and travels throughout the plant, shutting down cell division and growth. Within hours, weeds stop growing. Then comes gradual leaf discolouration, necrosis, and complete weed death.  Why Farmers Love KOLOPA Rainfast OD Formulation – No need to worry if it rains; KOLOPA sticks!  Low Dosage, Big Results – Use just 100ml per 20L or 1.5L per hectare, making it a cost-effective solution.  Safe on Maize – Maize produces a natural hormone that breaks down KOLOPA safely.  Broad-Spectrum Control – Eliminates both grasses and broadleaved weeds.  Smart Packaging – Comes in sizes that suit small to large-scale farmers: 200ml, 500ml, 1L, 5L & 20L.  Triple Action Formula – Packed with 3 high-dose active ingredients to prevent weed resistance.  https://youtube.com/shorts/a0KHActnOR8?si=EBZRMga3assAWbab When & How to Use Timing is Key:  Spray when maize has 4–8 leaves and weeds are 2–4 leaves old.  Ensure the soil has enough moisture—ideally, apply after a day of good rain.  Avoid spraying on dewy mornings or during extreme humidity, which may stress the crop.  Shake Well Before Use: Oil-based formulations like KOLOPA can settle—mix thoroughly for full effectiveness.  Handle with Care:  Sensitive maize varieties like H516, H614 & Pannar need spray guards.  Proceed cautiously on H624, H628 & H629.  Application Rate  75–100ml per 20L of water  1.5L per hectare  https://youtu.be/CmYOP1iD9w8 Weeds Won’t Wait – Why Should You?
